The project app
A spine for the work.
PlateNext is the project half of the PlateNext suite. Project → Task → Sub-task, as deep as the work goes. A per-project board for execution, a per-person plate for everything you owe across projects. Vendor coordination lives in the sibling webmail; this app holds the spine.
Part of the PlateNext suite01 · The plate
One view that gathers every thing you owe.
The plate is a personal view, yours, no one else's. It pulls together every Project where you're Accountable, every Task where you're Responsible or watching, every Engagement where you're the named voice with a vendor, and every Commitment you've made or been promised. Sorted by what's overdue, what's due Friday, and what's quietly waiting.
It's the question the app asks every morning, and the question the name comes from: what's next on your plate.
02 · What this app is for
Built for work with deliverables, commitments, and a hand-off.

i.
Projects, tasks, sub-tasks
Arbitrary depth. One Accountable owner per project, many Responsible per task. A per-project Kanban for execution; a tree view for breakdown. No sprints, no story points. Linear-shaped, not Jira-shaped.
-
ii.
Deliverables & commitments
"The architect owes Floor Plan v3 by Tuesday" is a real entity, with states, due dates, and an audit trail. Versions of a deliverable can point at the email attachment they arrived as. No copy, no drift.
-
iii.
Vendor coordination, in the inbox
Reading lives in the sibling webmail. PlateNext supplies the sidebar's data; you confirm a tag with one keystroke. Outbound deep-links into webmail's composer with the right identity pre-filled.
03 · Privacy by default
Personal projects are private until you say otherwise.
A Project you create alone is visible only to you. Invite a teammate by email; they get the project, its tasks, its vendor threads. The garage you're rebuilding never has to surface on the team board.
Team Projects (the construction, the rentals, the work you all touch) stay all-suite-visible. There is no role separation in v1; visibility is the access control, and the Participant list is the access control list.

Design phase. No code yet. A product requirements document and a phase plan are written down. Leave your email and we'll write you when v1 ships.
When v1 ships, sign-in lives here.
Until then, leave an email. We'll wave when this page becomes the app.
